Homosexuality has become the number one danger to Fundamentalists for one simple reason: its tendency to defy traditional gender roles carries an implicit threat against a foundational tenet of Judaism, Christianity, and any other major religion which relies on the Genesis account to define its gender roles.

If you disagree with any of the particulars of Fundamentalist dogma, they’ve proven they’ll attempt to take away your freedom of speech, or at least shout you down so viciously that you’ll never speak again. We need to REMOVE this sort of un-American threat from our public discourse.
